Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

A. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Articles are original products that have never been published in any media.
  2. Articles can be in the form of conceptual thinking or research results related to Islamic
  3. Articles are written in Indonesian, English or Arabic that are good and correct.
  4. Articles are typed with font Garamond size 12 pts with 1.5 line spacing, A4 paper size in format (Microsoft Word: Rtf, Doc, Docx). The writing length is between 15-30 pages or 5000-9000 words
  5. Author's name (without title and rank), institution's address (below the title) and email (below the institution's address)
  6. Articles are sent in softcopy to OJS (Open Journal System), at least two months before publication

B. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

  1. The writing framework includes abstracts, keywords, introduction, contents, conclusions and references (if it is conceptual thinking), or includes abstractions, keywords, preliminaries, problems, methodologies, discussions, conclusions and references (if it is the result of research)
  2. The title of the writing, the title of the discussion, and the subtitles of the discussion are bold and do not use numbers or letters for numbering.
  3. Abstract contains 150-250 words of the core problem
  4. Keywords can be in the form of words or phrases
  5. Articles use footnotes with the following rules 
  • Book: Abdurrahman Mas’ud, Intelektual Pesantren Perhelatan Agama dan Tradisi (Yogyakarta: LKiS, 2004), 60.

  • When quoting the same reference sequentially, or intermittently by one or more different references, it is sufficient to write the author's last name following one of the initial words of the reference and the page if different. For example: Mas'ud, Intellectual, 70.
  • If there is an unclear data source identity. So, it must be given a sign t.tp. (tanpa tempat [publisher]), t.p. (tanpa [name] penerbit) and t.t. (tanpa tahun [publishing]). For example: al-NawāwÄ«, al-MajmÅ« 'Syarh al-Muhadhdhab, vol. 5 (t.tp: al-Maktabah al-Salafiyah, 1950), 34. Or H. A. R. Gibb, Modern Trend in Islam (Chicago: t.p., 1947), 67. Or S.D. Protein, Studies in Islamic History and Institutions (Leiden: E.J. Brill, t.t.), 34.
